Bridgestone – A Strong Heritage

• Bridgestone was founded in
  1931 by ‘Shojiro Ishibashi’.
• Mr. Shojiro Ishibashi, the founder
  of Bridgestone, named his new
  venture with an English variation
  of his name. (The surname
  Ishibashi when translated means
  ‘Stone Bridge’).
• From a small company,
  Bridgestone expanded
  internationally to become the
  world’s largest tyre manufacturer.
